Yes, in many cases. If the existing tiles are flat, well-adhered and in good condition, LVT click-lock vinyl can be installed directly on top without hacking. This saves significant cost and time. Our team will assess your floor during the site survey and advise accordingly.
Most HDB bedrooms or living rooms can be completed in a single day. Larger spaces or more complex layouts (like herringbone) may take 1.5 to 2 days. You can walk on the floor immediately after installation, there’s no curing time required for click-lock vinyl.
LVT is HDB-approved and suitable for wet areas including kitchens and bathrooms. However, LVT cannot be paired with any acoustic underlay. If your HDB or condo has specific BCA acoustic requirements, please raise this with us before confirming your order, we can advise whether LVT is the right fit for your specific situation or suggest alternatives.
LVT Plank comes in long rectangular planks that mimic timber, ideal for living rooms and bedrooms. LVT Tile comes in 30 x 60cm and larger 45 x 90cm individual square or rectangular tiles that mimic stone or porcelain, popular for bathrooms, kitchens and entryways. Both are equally durable; the choice is purely about aesthetics and the look you want to achieve.
Vinyl is extremely easy to maintain. Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove grit, and mop with a slightly damp mop when needed. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scrubbers. Quality LVT vinyl doesn’t require any special treatments, polishing or waxing, completely set and forget once installed.
Yes, LVT is fully waterproof and suitable for kitchens. The click-lock system means no adhesive is used, and the vinyl planks/tiles themselves are fully waterproof. For normal kitchens, LVT performs excellently but is not suitable for bathroom use. We’ll advise the right product for your specific room during the site survey.
